  • “A Nice Surprise”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. It was the best of our one-week visit to Bhutan. The view from the room was great! The room itself was very comfortable, and it was VERY quiet (we're light sleepers and we really appreciated this as this is one of the most important things to us). Food was very good as well. • “Highly recommended”

“Fabulous hotel. Staff really helpful. Food great. Room with stunning panoramic views overlooking valley n airport. Paro airport is NOT a busy airport creating lots of disturbance - NOTHING like Heathrow!”

  • “Great introduction to Bhutan”

“Our small group of 10 stayed at the Khangkhu Resort for one night upon arrival to Bhutan. The grounds are lovely, the rooms all have a balcony that overlooks the valley and the airport, and the restaurant serves excellent food. Excellent service!!

  • “Airport Convenience”

“For an early morning check in this hotel is ideal being just a few minutes drive from the terminal. However, it is a big more than just convenient.

The rooms are large and comfortable and with large balconies giving everyone a view of the valley and of course the airport. However, as so few flights go in or out and certainly no night flights the airport is not any problem.

The restaurant and bar areas are light and airy and staff attentive and possibly more professional than in other Bhutanese hotels. Even when a power cut happened the staff made sure everything and everyone was fine even escorting people to their rooms. Emergency lighting kicked in which is not available in all establishments in Bhutan.

This was our last hotel on our stay in Bhutan and it was a good place to spend our last night.

  • “Bliss in the Dragon Kingdom”

“We loved it as soon as we saw it. Nestled on the side of a hill overlooking the Paro airport, it is a beautiful property. The panoramic view of the valley below along with the Paro dzong (more so after the lights come on) is breathtaking.

The rooms are quite spacious. The bathroom is kind of huge. Of course one needs to climb a few stairs up to the room, but its worth it. The staff, including the room service staff, all seemed to be ladies attired in smart Bhutanese traditional dresses.

The food was good. But surprisingly for Bhutan it was dirt cheap compared to the other places within Bhutan that we visited. But the drinks are far cheaper if bought form the stores downtown rather than from the hotel bar.

The resort was full of apple trees and we could actually pluck and eat them right off the branches! And to add to all these real fast free wifi in the room too!!”
